To whom it may concern,

It’s a refreshing thing in this town to find a good neighbour. The type that’s always there with a friendly welcome, without being obtrusive or too in-your-face. It helps when that neighbour also serves good value, reliable food and icy cold beer.

The Parkview Hotel in leafy Alexandria has just completed a moderate but tasteful makeover to turn what was an already welcoming local pub into a more attractive all-rounder, which satisfies everyone from the locals in the front Sports Bar to the ever-burgeoning brigade of young professional couples who take advantage of the cosy lounge bar and adjoining courtyard.

Upstairs is a bright and airy seating area with full bar service and lovely park views. Drinkers might even catch Rusty and his Rabbitohs going through their paces on Erskineville Oval.

On this particular Thursday evening, our group relaxes in the Harley Room, with its comfy lounges and warm colour scheme. The large flat screen TV has the sports fans happy, while keeping the volume low and the ambience up
